American Idol- Results week 3
OMG - Sorry guys, I completely forgot to post today. In my defense our bella Flavia returned today and I was all happy and then I had my annual compensation meeting today (which means they let me know that I'm getting another $50,000 a year - ha ha - right), so I was a bit distracted.
So, on with the post - after a bad goup song, (I don't even remember what the song was, but Vonzelle hit some bad notes) they ran through the contestants pretty quickly.
Nadia got pulled up first. And they kept pointing that out. and pointing that out.
Then Jessica - my friend the Sausage.
that left Anwar, Anthony and Vonzelle on the sofa. Ryan pointed out that they were sitting in the same seats as last week. (Which, I think, means they need to switch seat around for better luck, man!).
At this point, I'm chanting out loud "Anthony, Anthony, Anthony". Fade to commercial.
They called up Anwar. Man!
Ryan let Nadia sit down. I hope she pumps it up next week. Cuz she is NOT the worse one out there.
And I'm thinking, if its not the Russian kid, it BETTER not be Anwar. I know he's been lame and bland with one note per week, but I'm not ready for the sweet kid to go. I want to see him improve. I mean, he's gotta improve. Doesn't he?
Drumroll.... Jessica got the boot. I agree with Simon, she really, really, really doesn't have the likability factor. See ya! (and a sigh of Thank God)
Now, on to more important things... Didja see the video clip where the muppets sang? So, what? each of the contestants get a personalized muppet? That was great! I should have taped it so I could replay and guess which one was which. I definitely saw Niko, Mario, and I couldn't tell if the one in the car was Jessica or Carrie, but I'm leaning toward Jessica cuz it wasn't a pretty Muppet. lol

It was pretty funny though. I want a muppet. I wanna oompa loom[pa NOW! heheh
Anyway… I wasn't that surprised with Anwar - but I think he deserves a chance to get better too. WHO is voting for Anthiny??? That's all I have to ask!
I hope Nadia & Anwar slam it next week - that's all I have to say.

Yes. Loved the muppet performance. I was trying to figure who was who, but the only concrete puppets I was able to make out were Anwar, Nikko, Bo or Constantine and a blonde chick (either Sausage or Carrie). It was pretty funny. Even more hysterical was the fact that Sausage cried her eyes out the week before when "Miss Annoying" left and as the camera panned to the remaining idols on the couch, there was not one tear shed for her.
I think you are both crazy to think that Anwar deserves to stay another week. I think out of the bottom 3 last night he should have been the one booted out. I don't like Sausage, but at least she could sing and should have beaten out Anwar.
Anyway, have you noticed the girls on the show are dwindling. To my recollection there has not been a guy voted off since they picked the top 12. What's up with that?
Yeah, all day yesterday I wanted to say something about you slacking on the blog but kept forgetting. LOL
So, there I was watching the Idols sing that horrible song on the result show with the roomies (who aren't into Idol) on Tuesday night. They couldn't believe that I could dedicate my time watching a show that was an adult version of The Mickey Mouse Club. (Ha ha). I was doing my best to defend Idol and tell them it's a quality reality show but that horrible musical rendition and the life-size singing muppets didn't help my cause!!! LOL I thought everyone would get a kick out of this story!
Onto the bottom 3... Nadia, Jessica (Sausage) and Anwar. I gotta tell ya Jessica getting the boot -- really didn't care and from the look of the other contestants it didn't seem to bother them either. However, it kinda made me realize that ALL the girls are getting the boot. There's only Nadia, Carrie & Vonzelle left. LET'S CAMPAIGN TO SAVE THE GIRL IDOLS! Meanwhile we sooooo can get rid of the boys (ie Constantine, Scott, Anthony, Bo)
I just read my sister's comments... GOD! We really DO share a brain! LOL
Correction to my comment: it wasn't Tuesday's Idol show it was Wednesday show. (But you all know that)
OMG - I laughed so hard at Chenita's middle paragraph. I'm still giggling!

yes, I noticed the disappearance of the women, but I expected it because the men (boys) were stronger this year. I'm happy with the remaining women.
Now we need to whittle the men down.
