Final 3 boot off
So, I watched the boot off. I liked the song that Katherine did. As in previous Idols, I think they sing better when there is no pressure. I fell asleep through some of it. (Was it an hour long?)
Anyhow, now that Elliot is kicked off (and I'm creepily reminded how white trash he seems) I care even less who wins.
I think its funny that they had Clive Davis up there touting the success of the previous Idols. Reuben sold 2 million CDs? no way. I don't even know one song he did!
and... what ever happened to Tamyra Gray? I loved her. She was adorable.

Sorry it's taken me this long to write and perhaps no one cares at this point but I'll continue to put my 2 cents in.
So, the word around here is that Katharine is a snot! I have to agree. She's very pretty and definitely has the voice but she needs to learn to be a bit humble and accept criticism because her "My S@#t doesn't stink" (Thanks Alana!) attitude will not take her anywhere. I am totally rooting for Taylor to win it and will be highly disappointed if he doesn't win. Mere, are you still hating on Taylor or do you want to join the Taylor band wagon with me? LOL
Oddly enough, Juanita who extemely disliked Kelly Pickler LIKES Katharine!!! Go figure!
Lin, why does Elliot remind you of white trash??? I thought of the 3 idol's footage going back home his was the most touching. I must admit, I got a little emotional. LOL
Reuben had one hit "I'm sorry" as well as Fantasia.
And Tamyra Gray's stint on Boston Public, guest spots on other TV shows and Bombay Dreams are well over. I did hear that she will appear on the Tyra Banks Show for a segment about "where are they (Alumni Idols) now?" LOL
Oh, and one more thing Happy Belated Mothers Day Lin, Juanita & soon to be Fla!!!!!
so anyway - I tried to tape the last show to hear them sing and guess what - I screwed up the vcr and diudnt tape it - so much for that - like I care anyway…
The Final Showdown
I personally found the show boring and predictable. We all knew that Taylor was going to win. (Even Taylor's nonchalant reaction to Ryan's announcement conveyed that he knew he'd won the competition. I was surprised by the star turn out from Mary J. Blige to Prince. I think Elliot and Mary performance was the best of the night.
One bit that I found funny was the Clay Aiken look-alike. At first I couldn't believe they would dedicate 5 minutes to the overly flamboant flame to sing his version of Elton John's "can you feel the love tonight". Then suddenly Clay Aiken himself came onto the stage to sing with him. The reaction on the nerds face was hilarious but scary. Come on nerd it's ONLY Clay Aiken, not Elton John. LOL
Anyway, Taylor's final song SUCKED. I think the song doesn't fit Taylor and as a result the single will not do well.
