21st Century boot off
I fell asleep and woke up to Lisa singing, so I surmised that she got booted. Then went back to sleep.
This morning I saw the Fox 5 recap.
Here is my theory, Idol isn't quite as interesting because -- of the top 10 -- they're all mostly good, can carry a tune better than anyone I know personally and none of them stand out as particularly annoying, obnoxious or otherwise negatively notable for us to really happily blast.
I mean how many nice things can you say about 10 people? I, personally, need an idol contestant I can rip apart.
Since they're all good, I can sorta root of one over the others but generally, I like this group.
At least when they have a bad day, they ALL have a bad day, so still, no one stands out.
Maybe someone oughta have an outfit fall off or lose a hairpiece next week and I'll perk up.
Lisa's gone. It was a good choice and America got it right.

Not true at all. Kelly is annoying and so is Paris. The only people who stand out in the competition are Taylor, Mandisa, Chris and sometimes Paris. Overall, the rest can just go home. I don't think America has decided on a favorite, like prior idols. I think a lot of people are spliting their votes with the 3 people I mentioned above and I guess Kelly is one of them too. Kelly is only in the top postion because of her southern Jessica Simpson portrayal.
BTW - Mere and I have already blogged on yesterday's blog (Read it)
I really liked the performance by Shakira & Wyclef (Although they were singing along to a track - yeah, that's right I noticed - LOL)
Did anyone hear Wyclef at the end of the performance say "Angelina"? Was that a shout out to his friend, Angelina Jolie? Hmmmm... I wonder.
No surprise to see Lisa & Ace in the bottom. When it was between Katherine & Bucky - the chances of Katherine in the bottom 3 looked slim. Well, I was wrong! Lisa eventually got the boot and I agree her performance last night was better than the other night.
Lin, loved your comments and totally agree! A wardrobe malfunction would be quite funny (although not in Mandisa's case - LOL) and I would love for Paris' hair extension to come loose during a performance - haha!
Yeah, I heard about Ryan Seacrest & Teri Hatcher too. He's 31 and she's 43. Seems Hollywood's trend: Older women dating younger men is still going strong! LOL

Hey Chenita to answer your Wyclef question Yes, it was a shout out to one of my favorite peopel lol I caught the re-cap on Access Hollywood or might have been E last night..Wyclef supports the same cause which is the children of Haiti..so he gave her a shout.. PLEASE!!!
