Boot off - week 6
Last night's boot-off show was a nail biter. With the way they like to do twists, I didn't know if one of the couples standing was on the bottom or the two on the sofas.
They paired Carrie and Bo (we're all assuming that's the 'good' group) and Vonzelle and Anthony (the bad) that left Constantine and Scott on the sofa.
My heart is saying Scott is the odds-on NON favorite so whereever he goes is the bottom. But rather than place them, Ryan says for them to go where they think they belong. Now I hate when they do this because its forcing the guys to out who they think are the worse performers. Constantine immediately goes with Carrie and Bo. Scott hesitates then moves over to the same spot. Crowd goes wild with approval. (Which should sadden Vonz & Anthony a bit, I'd say).
Of course there's only 3 per group and they move...Constantine to the lower group. Yikes. Scott is visibly in shock, thanking God and the solar system, I suppose. Whew for him.
Ryan ends the suspense for one of them and The Vonz returns to her seat. You know my chanting is going into overdrive because I have a sneaking suspicion that Constantine will be going instead. I'm IMing with Mere and force her to chant with me. Then she goes and does it... She types to me that she thinks it will be C. Of course we think that, but we can't say it out loud - not in our mission to stay true to booting Anthony!!! Noooooooo
After that unbearable commercial break (I wonder how much their spots are selling for!) They come back - with much drama & suspense and boot >>>> Constantine. He was very gracious in his speech but when they went to video, he was mouthing something - I, personally, think it was some wild Wiccan curse on all those voting against him. The rest of the Adams Family were probably right there with him.
The re-sing was soooooo much better without that incessant kicking at the camera. Sorry Constantine - buh bye.
So what is our lesson? Chant, chant, chant and don't give voice to alternate theories!! Be stong! Solidarity!
Paula was crying like they had just told her that 'perkiness' was outlawed. A torrent of water was pouring from her face. Good gracious, woman, get a hold on yourself. Then while Constantine's doing his farewell gig, she goes over to the Adams family and head grabs mom and gives her a heart to heart. Mrs. M must have been thinking - woman, get off me! I would have.
On another note - I have no idea what the stupid song was, but I LOVEDThe skit! It was cool how thay blended Anthony into the background of stuff. Cleverly done.
And one othersidebar. These guys don't work, they have stylists who do them up - why can't Bo wash his hair 2 days in a row. He's on TV in front of millions! Shampoo, rinse, repeat.

Well, last night was a shocker for everyone, although it was a very good night for the wonder twins. We were giddy with joy as Ryan announced Constantine as the loser last night. Did you see Constantine's face - He was totally shocked. When he was saying his "Thank You's" and kissing up to the judges, Americal Idol producer you could hear a tremor in his voice as if he was going to start bawling any minute. He kept it under control though.
Paula is an absolute disgrace as a judge. She should go back on to the painkillers cuz she is nothing but a an emotional, sobbing idiot.
I can't believe the bottom 3 last night. What a slap in the face that Scott walked away being safe. Which only makes me think that Mere's comment yesterday is totally true. (Read yesterday's comments) Bo & Carrie's faces were shocked to see that Scott was safe as they walked back to the couch.
Yes, I agree that Constantine sang better last night than the night of the vote off performance.
Congrats for making the name change.
And my comment to Meredith is... ya think? I can't imagine there are that many people who have seen that Vote for Anthony & Porky site. There would have to be a bazillion of em. I think there are just a bunch of tone deaf people out there. really! LOL
It has been confirmed by Goumba Johnny & KTU lol that the Vote Off site that Mere was talking about is in fact True and these Idol haters such as Mr.Anonymous are trying to keep the two worst singers in the finals!! Could you imagine Porky is going to be our next idol eewwwwwwwwwwwww.....
For real? I was gonna say- how many people even see that site? Mere, you truely ARE an internet guru! Maybe I should just switch and root for Anthony - just to F things up!
Oh yeah - I was gonna say that it is a VERY popular site. Both of those site come up early on searches for Idol. There are so many people who don't like Idol that they love the idea of screwing it up.
But don't confuse rickey with those horrible people trying to get Scott to win. Rickey is a true Idol fan and really does want Anothony to win.
I LOVE that Linda was so in to this vote off show. I couldn't help cracking up when she kept im'ing me that it was such a nail biter. LOL
And PLEASE forgive me for vocalizing Constantine's vote off. From now til next wednesday I will continually chant to myself - "Anthony must go! Anthony must go!"
I am VERY curious to see what the outcome of this Idol will be. And if the "Vote for the Worst" website does make a difference.
Because if Scott does win this is what may happen:
Scott wins. Everybody goes on the stupid tour.
Sometime after the end of the show or tour - when all his legal ties to the show are gone- Mario will announce his record deal.
After the tour everyone BUT Scott will no longer be legally tied to Idol.
Constantine will rejoin his band that has already gotten a record deal and is releasing their first Album in May. This was recorded BEFORE Idol - so yes, Constantine is the one singing in the band. The band will probably do well because of Constantine's exposure on Am. Idol. It was a great publicity stunt for his band.
Bo will probably get a solo record deal or one with his band.
Carrie will more than likely get a deal and Vonzelle just might too.
American Idol will have to live up to its contract and spend a million on Scott's career which will then careen down the toilet.
Haters of American Idol will rejoice and millions of blogs & emails will talk of how they had won against the plain vanilla, zombie pop lord American Idol.
Season 5 will now have a new voting system. Some secure site requiring you to sign in with all kinds of personal information. Hackers break in and corrupt the system. American Idol has the absolutel worst Top 5 in history. The naive public can't understand why their favorites keep getting voted off. Hundreds of anti-idol blogs fill with evil laughter at the masses.
None of the top 5 walk away with a record deal. The winner tanks again.
American Idol producers decide to cut their losses and do not continue into a 6th season.
The Anti-Idols Win. Or do they…
MAYBE - the producers finally let us vote for who we want VOTED OFF. Then all Idol fans Unite as one and VOTE SCOTT OFF. MUah-hahahahahahahaaaaaaaaa

Mere you are Hysterical. I definitely agree with Fla that your predictions are probably accurate. Honestly, the show is getting a little tiresome and needs a change anyway. So if it takes Scott being the "Guinea Pig" to make major changes ie: Format of the show, we definitely need new judges (especially to replace drugged-up Paula)and the obvious: the need for a new judging system. I think it will be interesting to see how this plays out.
