top 24 - first boot-off
Its late and I had a reality TV overload since it was the final dance-off for Dancing with the Stars and I had to watch in case I needed to vote. So, ladies, the floor is yours.
The first results show of the pre-lims... shocked, expected, should it have been someone else? Were they kind or cruel this year? What about the group song? Anyone else notice that only 3 people got solo songs?
State your opinions... I'll chime in later.

Okay - first of all - HEEEELLLLLOOOOO you wild women! Miss ya'll too! Glad we are all doing this again.
I have to say - I thought about cheating and looking on the blog to see who got booted without having to watch since the show has already been on for you by the time I see it. It says "Previously recorded" on the screen - so its not loive for me. But I DID refrain from looking and now I see it wouldn't have mattered cause Linda didn't say anything about them! LOL
So on with my comments - First of all I think that they are the best sounding group out of all the seasons. I really liked the group sing along.
WOOHOO - Becky is gone long gone. I didn't like her. I was kinda hoping it was going to be both of the 2 - Brenna also. But no such luck. The other girl - who I already can't remember her name - didn't like her song either so I'm fine with her being gone. As I said before none of the girls really stood out for me so far.
OKay - the guys - I think we all KNEW that Bobby was outta there. He did to when he said "i know". buh-bye. Patrick - not a real favorite for me either so I'm cool with him leaving.
My top 4 are Chris, Ace, Taylor & Elliot. I hope when we get to the top 4 its them - unless of course someone else steps out of the shadows.
I have to agree with Chenita -I think Chris is cute - love him. Can't wait to see what he does next.
And Fla - really - everything DOES lead back top Jordan doesn't it? LOL
Can't wait til next week!
Oh - here is my quick prediction for the top 12:
Guys:
Ace, Elliot, Chris, Taylor, Sway & David the Crooner (aka Jordan) I may change my mind on the last 2 after next week - but thats where I'm leaning now.
Girls:
Paris, Katherine, Lisa, Mandeka, Kelly, Kinnick - Again - lets see what happens after next week I may change my mind on the last 3.

Mere, I forgot you are 3 hours behind -- how will you continue to stave off the temptation of finding out AI results in advance for the entire season????? LOL
I agree, the group did sound good… what did they sing, again? Did anyone notice that only the boys had solos/duets? If I remember correctly Elliot led with a solo and Ace, Chris and Taylor also had solos. The rest were duets: Will Makar/Bobby, David Radford/Kevin, Bucky/Patrick, and Jose/Gideon. It seems pretty obvious who the show wants in the finals judging from the solos. I thought it was odd that the girls were left to sing background. Maybe next week, they (American Idol) will reverse it.
For the ladies: I was in disbelief when Brenna didn’t get the boot, instead it was Becky and Opera girl (Stevie Scott). Anyway, I didn’t care for either of them. So, good riddance. It was painfully obvious that Brenna is not liked by any of the (girl) contestants by the grimaced expressions on their faces when they learned she was SAFE. Oh, well I hope for their sake, America will gets it right next week.
As for the men/boys: No surprise that Bobby got the boot. Patrick’s end as an Idol was inevitable anyway. (I don’t think his skinny frame and FISH LIPPED friend helped him in the vote’s department– tee hee).
Here are my top 10 picks in order of preference:
Top 5 males are: Chris, Ace, Taylor, Elliot & Sway (although, from the article I emailed you all earlier he may get the boot too for having a current recording contract). If Sway is out, then my # 5 pick is between Will/David/Bucky. I’ll have a chance to narrow it down when they perform next week.
Top 5 females are: Brenna (just kidding!) Kelly Pickler, Katharine, Lisa Tucker, Paris & Mandessa/Ayla
Oh and in case you are wondering, why Juanita wasn't the first to respond it's because she's not in work today.
Well Juanita, Fla & Linda herself need to hop on it! This is supposed to be lively discussion!
I think I might be able to withstand the temptation of checking on the winners - unless I miss it one night - LOL But we shall see. =)

I can't believe Brenna is still in the competition - hopefully she leaves next week. Becky was shocking because I thought the judges comments would have kept her in for at least another week, but I'm glad she's gone - Although I have to admit, her re-song was was way better than the other night.
I was shocked to see Opera girl get the boot. Her re-song was also wayyyyyyyyy better than the other night. She didn't sing it falsetto, so it was not so high and pitchy. (Although, she did mention the other night she was'nt feeling well at all)
Bobby - Happy to see him leave
Patrick - Was kinda torn. He wasn't my favorite, but I think Will Makar should have definitely gotten the boot.

Glad to see "Fatboy" leave us but I must say that I was touched by his graciousness and nice personality so I shall take back my mean name calling,..and continue to our frind Pattie the beanstalk ( I know ya thought I dropped the name calling)ha,ha.. liked his voice but if he didn't get kicked off this week it would have happened next week, se la vie..
The girls So wanted to see NY bitch to leave first but of course we'll keep her in for drama a little while longer... yeah operal girl wasn't so hot to me so goodbye and Becky "the model" like her voice, loved her look but she probably wouldn't have been on that much longer so bye bye...
I pretty much agree with Juanita. I could have chosen a hand full of both the guys and girls to boot, tho. I'm happy that Bobby and the Opera girl are gone. I liked Becky but her voice was so-so. and Brenna should have been the one to go but better luck this week.
As for blogging, m'dears, since Ms. Mere is prone to cheating, it probably makes sense to just do an open forum for us all. I'm surprised that they say 'previously recorded' in WA! How do you guys vote?
PS LOVED Chenita's comment that she could tell by Yamin's look that he had to be a phenomenal singer - cus they would never put a guy through that was that ugly/creepy/whatever if his voice didn't rock. LOL - Good comment! LOL
I'm not going to cheat - GEEZ!!!!! Really - I promise. But the open forum works for me too. Whichever. =)
